A QUEST OF TWISTS: FROM SCHOOL STUDENTS TO SAVIORS OF THE WORLD

In my last blog, I mentioned that I have been into a reading slump and since then I have been into a lot of short reads and fantasy genre. When I was out of stock for the same, the book “A Quest of Twists” by Pranav Nair, a budding author, came to my rescue and I must say, it helped me as usual. The world of short reads and fantasy is really a thing which keeps you hooked, and you dig your grey matter to create your own world which takes you away from reality even though it is for a short span of time.

Talking about the book, the story is as indicated earlier, a fictional fantasy and the most commendable thing about it is the young author who has done a great job weaving a story that is not only fascinating but also promising one if he considers a sequel for the same. The story revolves around two friends, Xavier and Eric, who are sixth grade students and live a mundane life until they find a seed dropping on their lap out of nowhere. At first, they, like any person, avoid it and throw it away. However, the seed defines their destiny and comes back to them repeatedly until it opens the door for a whole new world which they are not prepared for. That is time when their quest starts, and they are filled with twists as is evident by the title of the book itself. A whole lot of unexpected things are expected from them considering that they are still children on Earth. At first, they are frustrated and reluctant to the new responsibility bestowed on them. However, as the story unveils there is a pleasant surprise for them and the readers alike. If I go on saying more about the book, I might spill the beans about the entire story which I do not want as I wish my readers to indulge into it.

Since, it is a short read, the readers will be able to gobble it off in one go and trust me you won’t regret it. If you are looking for a Weekend binge read or wish to unwind your day with a short indulging read, this is a good catch for you. Grab a copy for yourself and enjoy.
